Grief and loss are an integral part of life and living. When my beloved brother Tony went to work on 17 December that year, little did he know he would not return home. He was walking towards his car with the Covid samples he had collected from the care home in Dover, when a drug addicted driver ran into him, killed him and failed to stop. My brother was so key to my life and that day my life was changed in an instance. I had the opportunity of sharing my story with LawCare.
Even as I shared Tony’s story I am reminded that the legacy of his kindness, compassion, warmth and competence lives on. Even though my heart is broken, the lessons I have learnt could be of help to many others.
