Morlai Kargbo shares 3 anchors that work for him.
1.Turning the uncertainty in a power source.
A great belief in turning the uncertainty in a power source by embracing the art of the possible. Even in challenging time, innovation can exist. It means looking through a different lens and see possibilities as well as problems.
I used to travel, go to Ghana, Nigeria, Sierra Leone Uganda, Cameroon, and then talk to other accountants down there. Those days you had to fly, to have this conversation, now it’s all digital. We are resourced to touch lives in the UK, in Africa and other parts of the world… The digital way of doing this actually lends itself now, , compared to those early years when Moracle Foundation was set up. Then we were based on, a digital way of working, but it was not generally accepted.
2.Demonstrating that Inclusion is invaluable.
Everyone deserves a place to shine. For the sake of this conversation our conversation turns to how women can be involved.
“So many women now, are doing so well, in accounting, but, the ownership, of their own business, is very few. And today I’m glad, when you look at the profession itself, the top three, are women in the profession. To empower women. To work with women, , to train woman means you train up the whole village.
3.Low hanging fruit
“There, there’s so many low hanging fruits. I can see them, but I was not able to connect them. I decided what I was going to invest in myself. The investment was pointing me to my own personal development. I took it on. That was one of the best investments I’ve ever made. This is where the mindset framework came from that I integrate into the training I deliver today. I finished the personal development course geared at deepening my awareness and understanding, which enabled me to move forward with my dreams and achieve my goals.
